We support many aspects of natural parenting and attachment parenting. One of the best practices we’ve found is babywearing: wearing your infant or child in a sling or wrap close to your body. We first learned about babywearing while preparing for the birth of our youngest child and have found the benefits endless. Before using your carrier, you must read and following proper wearing instructions. We suggest doing several test runs with another person nearby to give you a hand and help build your confidence. We’ve found the following websites have very good visual instructions for how to wear different types of wraps or slings. Make sure you understand the directions before trying this with your child, serious injury or death is possible if you do not follow the directions properly. You Tube also has several videos that can help you learn basic and advanced baby wearing holds.
